Back in the day of the samurai, the Tokaido Road ran from present-day Tokyo to Kyoto, and there were 53 post towns along this route. Hotel En Michi is located along the path that connected Kawasaki-shuku, the second post town, to Inage Shrine, which served as a guardian shrine for the area. Countless human connections were created here, as travelers crossed paths with locals visiting the shrine.
Hotel En Michi celebrates the history of Kawasaki-shuku, alongside the belief that even modern everyday life in this area is a thing of beauty worth visiting to experience, and with the goal of creating these human connections between travelers and locals today, as they were centuries ago.
At Hotel En Michi, we aim to enrich the lives of locals and visitors to Kawasaki alike, in the hopes of making Kawasaki a sightseeing destination in its own right.

The top floors of the hotel are concept floors, offering guest rooms featuring Japanese-style designs inspired by the old post town of Kawasaki-shuku. A Restaurant Open to the Community
En Michi Shokudo is a restaurant meant not only for hotel guests, but for locals, as well. With features like seating areas opened to the street, the entire restaurant boasts an expansive, open feel. After serving breakfast, the restaurant is opened to the community for lunch, dinner, and drinks, and can even be reserved for private parties.
(Note: The restaurant will operate with shortened hours for the time being.)
