Hotel En-michi is built around a motif evocative of Kawasaki-shuku, a post town along the Tokaido Road during the day of the samurai; the hotel is located along a path that led from this historic road to Inage Shrine.
The rooms on the concept floors are named for the four villages that made up the post town of Kawasaki-shuku (Shinshuku, Isago, Kunezaki, and Kotoro), as well as Kawasaki’s city flowers (Tsutsuji, or azalea, and Tsubaki, or camellia), and the sacred tree at Inage Shrine (Icho, or ginkgo).
